The customs union between the Republic of Turkey and the European Union entered into force on 31 December 1995. Accordingly, goods can be transported between Turkey and members of the European Union without customs restrictions. However, the customs applications in the Republic of Turkey for other jurisdictions are still in effect and there are various exceptions and regulations for the application for a customs union. Due to the complexity of customs regulations in Turkey, we offer a wide range of services, including advice on customs law, assistance with classification, evaluation and rules of origin, implementation of internal compliance programs with Turkish and international import-export control requirements as well as training, obtaining licenses from various customs authorities and enforcement procedures.
